What was the most memorable thing that you did & sometime later said "it seemed like a good idea at the time"?

For example, I enjoy dry flower and autumnal vegetable arrangements. For our county fair, I entered a centerpiece that I created in one of the craft contests for floral arrangements. It consisted of several autumn vegetables (squash & gourds), dried wild flowers and colorful leaves. I thought it looked very nice. They're were several admirers and lots of talk at the fair about my creation, so I was quite proud. But after I didn't win anything, it wasn't until my daughter showed me a picture of it and pointed something out to me that made me say "it seemed like a good idea at the time". Much to my surprise it, well how do I put this delicately, had the resemblance of a phallic shape! I was shocked that no one pointed that out to me until after the fair. Oh well, it seemed like a good idea at the time! What was you most memorable occasion that you said that?
