Is Seal Team Six really gone?

I would always ume Seal Team Six as those of the fictional Splinter Cells in Third Echelon. Obviously to make sure all covert operations were carried out correctly the US would have to deny their existence and not support them. Is it really gone or is it just denied (somewhat like Delta Force) if so....what would be their replacement if there is one (most likely we would not even know)
