Why does she not want Child maitenence?

My wife disappeared without trace after receiving her ILR (indefinite leave to remain) with my child. 3 weeks later I receive a letter from CSA to say she has cancelled her Application for maintenance. I dont know where she is but could be in a womens refuge (I have have no allegations put to me so far)Why would she do this? Why would she not want maintence. I dont know what her intentions are
