Do I need to put this on a pan?

I got a meatloaf that just needs to be put in the oven to cook. It says- "Remove cover and cook for 50-60 minutes at 325 degrees." It's in one of those trays that seems like a really heavy duty plastic (but kind of thick). It doesn't say to put it on a tray or pan, but do I need to?
