Can you please help intemperate my dream?

Devin starts out by enjoying his time, and all seems well, but then he is interrupted by utter destruction that takes everything away from him. He feels alone. In his loneliness the shadow Devin appears, and it is tempting for him to reach out to him. This is a sign of either a fear of death, or wish to die, probably due to his frustration from being alone for some time. He goes into the city, where every one is, and it feels difficult to get close to the people he knows and loves. At the top of building, even after all the effort of going after the love he wishes to share with those people, he is swept back by the great bolt of fear that is death, the finality of life, an all consuming shadow, that makes his relationships all seem pointless.
